Our Campaign Story
There is a quiet need in the world right now…
a need for spaces where people can truly slow down, breathe, and heal.
My wife and I are holistic and energetic practitioners, providing healing classes through drumming, sacred chanting, reiki, and cacao ceremonies. We have been given the opportunity to care for my family’s farm land in southern part of Iceland, a place held by generations, where the sea meets the farm land.
We are now creating Sála (SOH-lah) a healing wellness hall devoted to mental health, restoration, and meaningful human connection.
The land we are building on has been in my family for generations. We are re-constructing one of the old buildings on the land, known as the tool house. It's raw and old but has so much potential. It will be a space where people can step away from the rush of daily life and return to something slower, quieter, and more connected through our retreats. We feel deeply honored to continue its story by creating a space that gives back to others.
The name Sála (SOH-lah) is Icelandic meaning soul. It's a sanctuary place to gather, to soften, relax and to come back into presence.
Our vision is simple:
A place where our wellness business can have a center. This is where we will reach more people with our practice. People can pause, breathe, and reconnect, with themselves, with nature, and with each other.
Sála is being created to support the growing need for mental and emotional wellbeing.
It will be a space for: healing retreats, sound baths & ceremonies, yoga and reiki, community gatherings, education & training and quiet restoration in nature.
A place where both locals and travelers can experience a deeper connection to themselves and to the land.
We have already begun restoring and preparing the space.
This fundraiser is here to help us move forward with greater ease and care, so we can begin sharing Sála sooner.

Enjoy a two-night hosted stay in our family summer house that\'s on the farm, built in 1928, the house has a old soul that welcomes you with a big heart. Includes warm hospitality, guided local adventures, visits to natural beauty spots, dinner at plant-based restaurant, Mama Reykjavik, and a meaningful taste of Icelandic life through our eyes.
